Better than last year

Despite the rainy weather, close to 300 people participated in the second annual EdgeRace on Sept. 30 at Edgemont Park. The 5K run raised more than $7,500 in cash and prizes for the race. All proceeds from this year’s and last year’s race benefit Edgemont Junior High School. Last year’s event had a little more than 100 participants and raised about $6,700.

Big winners for this years EdgeRace were: Lance Docken, overall male runner, 16:37.51; Lisa Tylor (pictured bottom left), overall female, 19:49.33; Kevin McGinnis, master (age 40 and up) male 17:12.84; Kevette Smargiassi, master female 22:16.01.  Read more...
