Native American families gathered at Fife High School on Thursday, Dec. 15 to share a meal together, make crafts and hear updates on current and upcoming Indian Education events. Fife Schools’ Indian Education Coordinator Martha Sherman heartily thanked everyone who took part.
“I would like to thank all the families and guests that were able to make it,” she said. Sherman gave an extra special thank you to parent April Balsley, who is also part of the Fife-Milton-Edgewood Chamber of Commerce. Thanks to her, Dave's of Milton donated a spaghetti dinner for 50. “Thank you April and Dave's of Milton. The spaghetti was yummy. And thank you to the families that brought other foods to share,” Sherman said.
After dinner everyone enjoyed holiday activities like making swags and small bear, salmon and paddle ornaments to design and glitter.
