Tips for avoiding foreclosure at free workshop

The city of Tacoma and United Way of Tacoma/Pierce County will present a free foreclosure intervention workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 20. It will be at the Tacoma campus of Evergreen State College, located at 1210 6th Ave. Information will be offered on loan modifications and mortgage options. Those seeking assistance should bring photo identification, Social Security number, W-2 forms for the past two years, a recent tax return, two recent paystubs, two months of bank statements, files for mortgages and information on other living expenses.
