The Fife High School spring performance of the hilarious and family friendly Broadway smash hit musical features an enthusiastic cast of nearly 60 performers, including 20 Columbia Junior High (CJH) freshmen, in two casts. The show, directed by Dave and Teresa Hockman, plays at the Columbia Junior High Performing Arts Center May 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. with two Sunday matinees at 2 p.m., May 11 and 18. Tickets $5 at the door.
The Saturday evening performances, May 10 and 17, are special dinner theater shows. Besides the regular general admission seats, patrons have an option to attend a dinner before the show. Dinner will be served an hour before show time, and audiences will be served by the actors in the play in full costume and makeup. The dinner theater tradition has been a continuing part of the spring musical for 20 years, and it’s always well attended and enjoyable. Tickets for the dinner shows must be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased from either the high school bookkeeper (Jayne Sanderson) or in the office at CJH (Kelly Wood). You can also purchase tickets from students in the play.
