RICHARD MIRAU’S WIFE, DEBORAH, STANDS IN THE NEWLY REMODELED TACOMA ANTIQUES CENTER OF FIFE.
Tacoma Antique Center at Fife is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a sale and celebration at the store Sept. 12 beginning at 10 a.m.
Store owner Richard Mirau said there will be sales throughout the antique mall ranging from 10 to 50 percent off and there will also be door prizes and cake served to customers.
“Business has been so fantastic. Over sales are way up,” Mirau said. “Our remodeled mall has brought many people into Fife that haven’t been here before.”
Since the two stores have combined, customers have not had to walk outside of the building to browse each store – which is something they appreciate.
“Our mailing list has grown to over 8,000 people in just one year,” Mirau said.
Tacoma Antique Center has many other events planned for the upcoming year. On Nov. 14, Mirau will host a customers’ favorite, November haggle day. The event will offer customers an opportunity to haggle with regional dealers and enjoy food and sales.
On Dec. 5, the store will transform into a winter wonderland during the annual Christmas gala. Last year, Mirau said customers were entertained by a live choir and could offer donations to the charitable organization World Vision.
Mirau is excited to announce plans to hold an appraisal clinic early next year, where customers can bring in jewelry and other items for professional appraisal, cleaning or repair.
“We don’t have a date nailed down for that event yet, but people should watch for it,” Mirau said.
The Tacoma Antique Center is located at 1414 54th Ave. E. in Fife. For more information, call (253) 922-1297 or visit http://www.tacomaantiquecenter.com.
