As of April 20, the Fife fastpitch team had won six games, lost two, and had five rained out.

In its most recent outing against Eatonville, Tessa Wagner had 10 strikeouts and Shelly Kilcup went three-for-four to inspire a 3-0 victory.

The Lady Trojans opened their season with a win over  Interlake, 5-4. Lauren Littlejohn had two hits and three RBIs, and Sammy Faust had two doubles.

Then Fife traveled to Woodinville and dropped its first game of the year to the perennial state contender, 8-2.

Fife got back to its winning ways at Sumner, pounding out 15 hits in a 10-1 win.

Faust hammered out three hits, and Amanda Roselli, Lauren Littlejohn and Tessa Wagner each had two hits.

At Bellarmine, Fife brought out their hitting sticks against the Lions and came away with an 8-0 win. Stephanie McFarland filled in at third base and made four assists. Cassie Duschel made the play of the game, a diving catch of a line drive.

Littlejohn hit a three-

run triple in the fifth inning, and Fife added four more runs in the sixth inning to break the game open.

Wagner held the Lions to only two hits.

Next  was Steilacoom, which took a 6-4 victory.

The Lady Trojans, however, came back strong the next game and parlayed 12 hits into a 10-0 win.

Four Fife players – Littlejohn, Wagner, Duschel and Jessica Colburn – each had multiple hits in the win. Wagner nearly pitched a perfect game, only allowing one walk and a hit in the sixth and she had nine strikeouts. Duschel had an RBI triple in the second to start the scoring.

The game against Eatonville on April 22 was over too late for publication.
